Choclate Cake. It was big enough to feed three of us! While I am not too keen on the title (Better than Sex Choc Cake), it could be that many things are better than sex at my age LOL! But seriously, the cake is good and certainly better than a lot of things :D12 Nov, 2011A place to return to!. Three of us went here for a special treat and it was well worth our time and money. Good down to earth cooking, very clean and easy parking. I got the jewish sampler and it was only $10. The desserts were HUGE and the food simple and tasty. The Motzo ball soup was really nice. Do be prepared to have your order taken at the receptionist desk. We got to browse the gift shop while we waited and picked up a couple of x-mas gifts 😀
Oy yay!. It’s so good to find good Jewish vittles in Victoria! This place is run by lovely volunteer grannies who really know their way around the kitchen and manage to chat and smile as well. We had matzo ball soup (very rich and steamy, and vegetarian to boot), fresh bread, bagel chips, latkes (sizzling potato pancakes with sides of sour cream and apple sauce)… just like Nana used to make. Definitely going back to try to big pastrami sandwiches, blintzes and kugel.
